Armenia’s Best PR Professionals to be Appreciated for the Third Time

Armenian PR Awards will be held for the third time this year by the initiative of “Armenian PR Association” scientific-informational NGO and supported by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) and Beeline Armenia.

PR Awards is based on scientific research and independent expert opinion. The research includes surveys of target groups (PR experts, media representatives), monitoring of the work of the government, state, political and public figures, as well as selection of the best PR programs and events produced in Armenia.

“Research shows that public relations are valued in Armenia by the industry professionals and the leadership of the public and the private sectors. Clearly, PR Awards is adding value to this with its accurate research capturing current developments and predicting upcoming processes. Things could be ruined in a moment but mutual trust and reputation require a long, planned and hard work. Armenian PR Awards is the only platform where the performance of PR professionals is acknowledged based on scientific research,” noted Dr. Astghik Avetisyan, President of the Armenian PR Association, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism of Yerevan State University.

This year two new categories - Woman of the Year and Diaspora Media - have come to make the PR Awards a Pan-Armenian event and to complement the traditional nominations: Press Secretary of the Year, PR event, Image PR, Public Figure, Political Figure, Cultural PR, Media company of the Year, State Institution, Crisis Management, PR Initiative, Financial PR, Armenian Brand, PR Innovation, and PR Technology.

“AGBU Armenia joins forces with the Armenian PR Association to promote the value of transparent and responsible public relations. Our goal is to foster well-informed and better-engaged citizens to facilitate healthy dialogue between different groups in Armenia and diaspora. For this year’s PR Award Ceremony, we have suggested AGBU’s two special nominations – “Woman of the Year” and “Diaspora Media of the Year” – which, we believe, will go to the most deserving candidates defined through the Association’s year-long research and monitoring,” said Talar Kazanjian, executive director of AGBU Armenia.

“Beeline has sided with the Awards from the first day perfectly understanding how important it is to secure public dialogue. Professionals who work day by day to ensure transparency and information on the work of their organisations, should be acknowledged and appreciated”, pointed out General Director of Beeline Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin.
